Note from DevCorp North....> "In the event of a CTA walk-out (currently scheduled to affect CTA service on Monday, December 17), the Howard Street and Clark/Morse/Glenwood Special Service Areas will not have crew service."
Blognotes: Here's a thought Kimberly Bares. Special Service street tax #24 manager Rene Carmego has a fancy car. This shouldn't pose any problems for him to pick up these workers. Then you have Special Service Area tax #24 manager Mark Semon. He could grab a few more in the tax payer funded company truck - and bring them to work.
Same goes for the managers in Special Service Area street tax #19.
If they don't want to do that, give the managers some brooms and shovels - and have them fill in until the SSA janitors can get back to work. We don't need excuses - we need results. That's what the tax payers are paying you for.
Don't blame the CTA for your problems. Then again, if you would've thought the SSA thing through, maybe you should've hired local and you wouldn't be in this jam.

Maybe Kim Bares should read the paper once in a while?
Tom Mannis covers this issue.
