Focus Group Guides Moore Public Pronouncements

Here at the "Broken Heart," we get letters. Yesterday we were forwarded a copy of an internal-only e-mail from Moore's political operation. The e-mail was accidentally cc'ed to someone who forwarded it to someone who forwarded it to us.

In the e-mail, Moore's political brain trust reported the results of a focus group convened to test public reaction to alternative public pronouncements related to the idea of Joe Moore as congressman.

Of particular interest in terms of recent breaking news are three questions regarding the use of the alderman's website for communicating with constituents on development issues in the ward:
In other words, Moore's political brain trust has shown, using Science, that anyone stoopid enuf to believe Moore's failure to post meeting notices, project descriptions, agendas, and minutes of the so-called "community" zoning committee might be due to an innocent lapse of attention to web-mastering, is ALSO stoopid enuf to believe a fat-fingered intern "accidentally" deleted the document archive.

The focus group was asked several other interesting questions, watch this space!

Would be interesting to see the document.

Is Moore so stupid that he thinks the suburbanites in the district are going to vote for a Chicago aldercreature?

Every document or announcement that Joe's people ever put on their site can be retrieved from a server somewhere, though with considerable effort.

Joe is foolish to believe that he leaves no tracks, but he is correct in believing that a significant percentage of his constituents are dumb enough to believe that his deletions were accidental and his intent innocent.

A considerable percentage of the American population believes that Jesus manifests himself on bagels and crackers regularly, so what won't some folks believe?

You've just gotta love email for this type of thing. Whoops!

It's apparent that Joe has had his eye on a different job for years. That was and is the major issue I have with him and his office.

This is not a dress rehearsal- this is our ward.

The Alderliar wants to run for Congress? What a joke!

Seriously, I hope the jerk does run, if only to enjoy seeing his campaign crash and burn like it did when he finished dead last for the Democratic nomination for Circuit Court Clerk back in 2000. If Moore does run for Congress, he will quickly run into the federal restrictions on how much money his slumlord pals can donate to his campaign.

Also, would he be planning to run against his pal Schakowsky? Or does he seriously believe that should Obama become President, Gov. Sleazy would appoint Jan to the Senate seat? A schakowsky-Moore primary contest would be nice though for two reasons. First, a third candidate would certainly swoop in and take the House seat. Second, in the course of the campaign, I suspect enough dirt would be uncovered to make it easy for the US Attorney to send the whole lot of them to prison.
