Rogers Park Political Leaders Unorganized

The Rogers Park meeting seemed unorganized. Those who should have been invited, such as the Sullivan High School principal and the neighboring 40th Ward alderman, were noticeably absent. Rogers Park residents were told that crime is down. While this may be true, consider the neighborhood's population, roughly 60,000 residents in a two-square-mile area.

Declines of 20 percent in index crimes - homicides, aggravated assault, battery, arson, sex crimes, burglaries - for which local statistics are tracked and reported to the FBI, realistically show minimal decreases. As one resident said, a 22 percent drop in homicides in a neighborhood where nine homicides were reported in 2007, means that only two fewer people were murdered in the current year. Clearly, there is a lot of work left to be done. Source/read more.

Why the principal and the other alderman weren't included:

The excuse: They're probably difficult to work with -

The reasoning of the event planners:

a. no long range plan
b. it's easier to whine in their absence
c. they're politicians

Who's not telling the truth? Is Joe Moore lying, or is Dr. Atria?

Joe Moore added that the school principal is on the 49th Ward's e-mail blast list.
---------------------
Dr. Joe Atria, who was named Sullivan's principal in July 2006, said in an interview that he cross-referenced his e-mails but did not receive an e-mail blast from Moore's office about the town hall meeting. "I'm not on his list. He might have an old address from the old principal," he said.

Joe Moore consistently uses his feel-good neighborhood email blast as a crutch.... My email blast this. My email blast that.

If we're as gullible to believe anything Joe Moore says in his propaganda email blasts, we'd believe recycling reduces crime.

Joe Moore's 'stewardship' of the 49th Ward is like a rudderless, sail-less boat on the lake, being tossed about by the waves and wind with no direction or control at the helm. It's an outrage!

Moore's email blasts are full of nonsense. There is never any true examples of what he has done - it's a lot of fluff. I'm sure someone in the office writes them and just shoots them out to try to keep the crowds calm LOL
