While political corruption exists throughout Illinois, the most notorious and persistent strain of corruption can be found in that fertile breeding ground known as the Chicago City Council. ... The guilty aldermen include bumblers but also some of the most brilliant politicians of their era ... In the past 35 years, a total of 30 Chicago aldermen have been indicted and convicted of federal crimes such as bribery, extortion, embezzlement, conspiracy, mail fraud and income tax evasion. Three additional aldermen were indicted for similar offenses but two died before federal prosecutors could bring them to trial and one, Anthony Laurino (39th ) was too sick to stand trial.

So with all of the good vibes coming out of Chicago, how does it show up as the third worst city on our second annual list of America's Most Miserable Cities?
Lousy weather, long commutes, rising unemployment and the highest sales tax rate in the country are to blame for the Windy City being near the top of our list. High rates of corruption by public officials didn't help either.

This is a wonderful city but I have long believed there should be term limits for Alderman, they shouldn't be allowed to build there little fiefdoms. Stroger is a joke - I never could understand that entire thing and how the county voted for his dad when they hadn't seen him for months.

Please expound on your reasoning regarding the Stoger thing specifically this;
