It amazes, no, befuddles me that the Pritzkers are failing to support and sustain such an artist-filled venue as the Morse Theater.
'Infighting' at this point bespeaks the immaturity and lack of foresight of all parties involved.
Wonder what Joe's NET was after 150 attendees multiplied by $125 totalled $18,750? Most part-time workers in Chicago don't make that amount in an entire year!
Will you please NOT VOTE for this Alder-Joker in the next election?
Who has this kind of money to throw away in this economy? I'm sure they put a lot of cash into this venture and to piss it away because of alleged infighting? What were they fighting about (allegedly) anyway? And what becomes of this building? It's set up to serve as a theater and little else. Can the mysterious fire be far behind?

Saw that on the marquee last night - a depressing sight.
This is crap. A complete waste of a tremendous effort and commitment to our community.
This pisser is Joe was able to squeeze a $125 a person fund-raiser out of these "infighters" before they closed.
He milked it for everything he could.
Some mediator.

Any rumors of what is to become of the building, any potential occupants on the horizon? Hopefully not the Morse Avenue crackhead foundation.
It is all just so insane - you really have to wonder why they couldn't come to an agreement that worked for everyone
