The signs on the door don't lie.
The Grill Inn, located at 1422 West Morse Avenue, has pulled the plug on their cool little food joint in CAPS Beat 2431, until further notice. There's even a sign redirecting mail to another location.
These aren't good signs of a business that's going to be reopening anytime too soon.
Now, you have to ask yourself - why is this happening? This is one of the more productive restaurants on Morse Avenue. And it is shutting it's door's to the public. Even with all the great reviews.
On 9/17/2012 Liz G. wrote in her YELP review on Grill Inn...
"On our way home a homeless woman who was standing right outside the door tried to run her dirty fingers through my hair. No bueno. Go home! "
Did the owner get tired of the bullshit on Morse lately? Were our Rogers Park Food Police on Everyblock boycotting the place - by not stopping by for one of their famous Brunch Mobs in efforts to save Eddie's business from closing?
UPDATE - 9:45 p.m: In one of the strangest turn of events, the Grill Inn has removed the "Closed until further notice" signs and reopened this evening.
Whatever happened to those "Out to lunch - back in 30 minutes" signs? That one would've been more appropriate for this situation. Not closed until further notice.
