Too little - too late. That's what this up-coming political event is all about. On Saturday Alderman Moore is holding a quickie, short notice damage control party in Gale Park. Just like the stunt Alderman Moore pulled last year, by pandering to the less fortunate when I exposed his lack of concern for our homeless residents in Rogers Park.
I'd like to ask the question why, but we already know that. His slumlord buddy Jay Johnson neglected his duties as a decent, community landlord. Now six children are dead. Alderman Moore needs to cover up the fact he turned his back and looked the other way while taking money from this slumlord who Mayor Daley says is "responsible" for these six children.
If he really cared about the children, like he claims, he would have held this so-called safety event last month. Before these six children died, instead of a holding gangsta picnic.

Daley: Moore Politicizing Tragedy
Daley saved some of his ire for Ald. Joe Moore (49th) — for suggesting during a television interview about the fire in his ward that the Ramirez family’s plight was an example of why Chicago needs the big-box living wage ordinance.
“That’s a great tragedy and I regret that someone tried to inject politics into that — talking about a big box and saying that, if we had passed the big box ordinance [sooner] everything would have been OK [and] that fire would never have taken place. That’s totally irresponsible. Irresponsible that any public official would do that here in the city of Chicago,” said Daley
