* Botched Bank Robbery Draws Neighborhood Criticism

"I just think my tax dollars weren't working properly yesterday," said Kyle Malave. "They must have had 150 some odd cars here yesterday, and plus their multimillion-dollar squad -- whatever it is, and what's the results -- nothing, right?"

BLOGNOTES: You say our tax dollars were not working properly Kyle. Are you sure?

Said Joe Moore...> "The police and the FBI did a great job!"

JUST REME3BER- JOE MORE'S FAMOUS QUOTE-
"CRIME IS DOWN"

Let's not go overboard. Given the technology available today, the government seemed to be "working properly" in response to a reported bank robbery. This was real life, not a sci-fi movie. Life is messy. Humans make mistakes. There are no FBI psychics to predict where and when a crime will happen. The cops can't teleport themselves to a crime scene the moment it is reported.

The search narrows down a bit. Investigators are now looking for a light-skinned black man in his 20s, about 5-feet-10-inches tall and with short hair.

Posting from the Second City Cop blog....> "Whiny little persons like Kyle Malave can feel that their tax dollars aren't being wasted.

Hey Kyle! It's the City of Chicago. Tax dollars are wasted so often that the closer you get to City Hall, the ambient noise actually resembles a toilet flushing. The same phenomenon occurs at the Department of Transportation, Streets and San, various parking garages, airports and anywhere near aldercreature offices.

Yes, that infamous Joe Moore quote, "Crime is down," is the same quote he has been making for years now. I know several years ago I was working a story about the rise and fall of Rogers Park (of which I've been a resident for 25 years and 2 months now). I wanted his take on the changes that were so very apparent, even then. And even then, he said crime was down; he denied a rise in crime, he denied white flight, he denied racism. Not in good ol' Rogers Park, he insisted, even though I cited stats to support my argument. He was so hell bent on denial, he nearly denied his name was Joe Moore. He wore blinders then; he wears blinders now. He was a liar then; he is a liar now, and he will likely always be a liar. Yet, residents continue to vote him into office. They obviously don't realize he is as dangerous as a gangbanger, just without the gun. And by the way, his courtship with the media is nothing new either. During my first two attempts to reach him, I left my name and clear messages stating I was a concerned resident, (as indeed I was) to which he never responded. Then I left a third message stating I was a journalist. He called back before I could finish my cigarette. Go figure.

Who cares what that idiot or any other idiot thinks. He wasn't there and doesn't have a clue as to what he's talking about. Just another northside know it all who in reality doesn't know anything. He and others like him would be the first in line at the sharks office waiting to file another nonsensical lawsuit if that thing went south. First they complain about no Police, then they complain about too much Police. Typical.

I was at the Loyola Park Fieldhouse at the front desk talking to staff on Friday night while waiting for the boxing coach to arrive. Two cops came in. Cops regularly come in to check in at the front desk -- they sign a log when they do so.

When someone asked about the bank incident, one of the cops shook his head. He couldn't believe that the guy was able to slip out like he did with all of the police around. "I don't even want to talk about it," he said in disgust.

The truth of the matter is the bad guy was already gone before the Police even arrived on the scene. When they did arrive however they were confronted with a bunch of citizens screaming about this guy with a gun inside the bank, the bank was being robbed, etc., etc. So all this nonsense about him slipping through the fingers of law enforcement is just that. Nonsense.
