* Even Kids Don't Believe Joe Moore

Dear Craig,

My 6th grader just informed me that Joe Moore was at St. Margaret Mary today kissing babies. Well, not really. But he was going from classroom to classroom telling all of the children that he was the Alderman and telling him what he does (or doesn't do). My kid told me that a few of the kids in the classroom just rolled their eyes at each other and giggled. I wonder if he caught that?

She said she wanted to raise her hand and ask him about Morse Ave. and the trees down at Loyola Beach. What can I say, she's a Hell Hole fan.

Signed,

Rogers Park 60645

Now that's funny.

She should have asked him. I would have loved to hear what response, if any, Moore would have given her.

When I was in 6th grade an alderman never would have even thought to step inside a parochial
school because of the sepertion of church and state. You have to ask if he went to the neighborhood public schools like Armstrong, Field, Kilmer, and Gale. These are the public schools that depend on Joe and his political manuvering to keep the money floating from Springfield to Chicago.
He just doesnt get it does he.

Something tells me that the adult population has stopped buying all of Joe's hot-air rhetoric and lies. Now he's got find a audience that is gullible to his fairy tales.

Fairy Tales

Moore BUILT Field School - with his BARE HANDS!

And the Math & Science Academy - that's a Moore "accomplishment" too!

There's nothing funnier than 12-year-olds rolling their eyes and exchanging glances while a politician is speaking. It really says something about kids these days... they're pretty sharp!

armstrong is in 50

I'm bored too. What a yawn this thread is. We should care what 6th graders think? Get a real story.

Oh and INKJAR, you need remedial reading and writing. You flunk.

Right... because an Alderman shouldn't care about parochial schools that are in his or her Ward?

It has nothing to do with the sepertion [sic] of church and state.

Further... the "separation of church and state" is a federal issue, not a city of Chicago issue.

Inkjar - were you one of those grade school children?

Probably not. Something tells me they are better writers.

To all who are interested...Please cCome…St. Margaret Mary will host the annual Chuckwagon this Saturday, September 8th from 3:00-11:00. Admission is free. It is outside on the blacktop. There is an adjacent parking lot available. This is the largest fundraising event for the athletic department all year. Food includes Bar-B-Q, hotdogs, cotton candy, nachos, sno-cones, etc. There is also a beer truck (lucky me, I married one of the bartenders), wine, sodas. Fun includes pony rides, a dunk tank, many kids games with prizes for the little ones, a raffle, and a d.j. It is one of the best parties of the summer. I have to do this this weekend and German Fest. Monday will be rough…
