It looks like the shots were fired by our condo on Morse between Sheridan and the lake; there were police cars until very late; the area on the other side of our building was closed with yellow police tape and cops were looking for some evidence. Through our window my wife and I saw an ambulance taking somebody away on a stretcher. Crime is down. Sleep in peace.

ps: Here is the actual police tape they used at the scene. This was tyed to the neighbors fence, but left behind after everyone left.

The problem with Rogers Park, Lakeview and Uptown is that residents don't report crime or suspicious activity. With the high amount of young couples and singles who think they have this supeman/superwoman attitude about them, crime in these neighborhoods will never come down.

Getting rid of those liqours stores would be a huge improvement in bringing crime down. I just feel like there is a need for more involvement from the residents.

What needs to happen to close Soos? My sense is that people will turn out to close it (the crowd times 4/5 at the 7/11 presentation). If Joe smells a movement he will be the first to claim leadership of it!
