Part of Sidewalk Missing in the 49th Ward
Here we have a missing slab of concrete from the sidewalk in the 7000 block of North Glenwood. If you haven't noticed by now, like everything else around the 49th ward, it's been this way a long time.
See, the common theme in the 49th ward is to neglect little problems until they grow so big, it becomes a huge problem.
And as with all huge problems, the 49th ward solution is to put a orange cone next or in the problem. Unfortunately, the orange cone in this case has been neglected, too.

Don't you mean the 7000 block of 'North' Glenwood?
Please add to the list the clogged sewer at Howard and Bosworth that has been reported to 311 and the aldermans office for 6+ YEARS, and the sewer cave in on Howard Street in front of the Lost Eras shop. This has been reported for at least 10 months now.
I guess we won't get any response until someone catches the West Nile virus from the mosquitoes that are breeding in the stagnant water at the corner or one of our street people falls into the caved in sewer and sues the city.
You are really stretching for material now, Craig! Situations like this are common throughout Chicago and this entire country.
Yes, I know that well. There are several of these problems in sidewalks I see that just continue to get worse as I walk around with the dogs.
Thanks for the correction MCL.
It would actually be in the 6900 block of North Glenwood Craig.
(Yawn)
The orange cone is kinda funny... lets acknowledge the problem but not do anything about it!
