James Pritzker challenges Lakefront Protection Ordinance

Years back, I just knew something like this would happen. Someone would come along and change the Rogers Park lakefront landscape - forever. I just knew this was coming, even back in 2006. But, I didn't know when.

It only took seven years and a billionaire in the name of James Pritzker to pull off what local real estate agent for ReMax, named Connie Abels, failed to do.

For all you Rogers Park newbie's out there, who think Everyblock is da bomb, let's take a look at the ole' Hellhole's way-back machine. Shall we?

February 2006: Just the beginning.

February 2006:  Hostile crowd greets project.

January 2006:  79 foot building on Sheridan Road.

January 2006:  Connie Abels Pie in the Sky.

February 2006: 49th Ward Zulac Veto's Connie's plan.

Nice blast from the past/review, when alot of the everyblockers were on Broken Heart back then. They've since moved on to brighter horizons.....

Wow that was 6-7 years ago.

Yet, they're still coming to my site for a history lesson. You won't find that on Everyblockhead.

You will find at least three different threads diluting the whole dialog - and getting those net-neighbors to act unneighborly with each other. I guess Becca gave up on banning people from breaking the NBC terms of service.
