* Updated: - Alderman Calls Vanity Building A Hoax

11-29-06: A phoney flyer? Who would do such a thing? The address is even wrong.

We all know that our Alderman will cover up any problem for the right price. And we all know Mr. Coe and Rich Aronson have given a lot of 'Green' to 'Moore.' But who knew one bad development would go so far as to name a building after that such public official. Here, on the above flyer, we have a advertisement for the newest Camelot project.

A project called "The GreenMoore." That's right, I'm not making this stuff up. The Coe Hole is going to be re-named "The GreenMoore," at 6901 North Darkview Drive.

This single address has been combined with two taxpayer PIN numbers. One is located in the Special Service Area district on Morse and one is located on Greenview. Right now it doesn't matter - it's just one big hole in the ground. But come property tax time in a few years, these new residents buying these condo's will want to know why they are being bam-boozled by the Special Service Area tax man. You want to have a Alderman in place that knows this stuff.

Back to the vanity name for Mr. Coe's new building. I'm sorry folks, boy was I mistaken. I thought Mr. Coe was going to be naming the building 'The GreenBare.' My bad.

Blognotes: Coe Hole refresher course:

Does everyone remember Mr. Coe?

Mr Coe is one of the Alderman's pals.

Mr Coe has 49th ward clout.

Mr. Coe knows how to play hardball.

Yet, Mr. Coe couldn't keep track of what was going on half the time.

Mr. Coe insults his future new neighbors.

Mr. Coe has poor demolition habits, caught here on the Broken Heart.

49th ward zoning member David Fagus added his two cents.

This is what Katy Hogan thinks about the Coe Hole.

Updated: More Problems - 11/25/2006 The neighbor who said Mr. Coe tried to blow up the neighborhood with the gas leak tells me it was worse than she thought. Seems through the whole ordeal, right up to last month, there was a live electrical power line that was hanging on the protection fence. It wasn't always on the fence. During the demolition, it was laying on the ground. The neighbor called the Com-Ed to get the live wire shut off. A Com-Ed rep told her, had anything gone wrong, it would have been disastrous. Knowing how this project has gone so far - that's par for the course.

It's true. I dug this up in the meeting notes. Katy Hogan did come out in force supporting this Coe Hole project.

Now she must be wishing she never joined the Alderman's blind cheerleading bandwagon.

Blogwarning: Folks, in the future, when the Alderman has one of these infomercials, and all these staged cheerleaders get up and praise the project, don't buy the act.

Remember the Coe Hole. Remember the Adelphi. Remember Vilma.

That is so hilarious- I wonder if the developer is doing that out of some kind of spite. I heard that Coe was trying to weasel out of his required (because he got a zoning variance)CPAN units in the building, but the Alderman's office would not budge. Not everything is for sale, it seems.

Hilarious.

Go to Camelot's website listed at the bottom of the flier.

It's one of their featured properties. On the floorplan they list the buildings' addresses as 1448 W. Morse and 6957 N. Greenview

Maybe the name is a "coincidence" but that building is real.
